Arsenal might be in with a chance to land in Manchester City's Joleon Lescott after complaints of him not getting enough games.

The Daily Star reports that the English centre-back is frustrated at his regular exclusion from the playing line-up and has vowed he would bring down curtains if it persists.

Lescott, who moved over to the Etihad in 2009, has become second choice after the emergence of Matija Nastasic in the 2012-13 season. However, Lescott might be in with a change of treatment after the appointment of Manuel Pellegrini as City's new coach.

It is also being reported that the 30-year-old is supposed to hold an interactive session with Pellegrini to decide on what his future holds at City with a year left in his contract.

According to a City source, "The situation is simple really. He wants to play and doesn't want to spend next season sat on the bench.

"If he isn't going to play regularly at City, then he can go to another club that will value him more."

Gunner manager Arsene Wenger would be possibly seeing in Lescott, a wonderful fit in his defensive line-up. However, the 30-year old's weekly wage of £90,000 might force the French for some pondering.

Arsenal are likely to face competition from Aston Villa and West Ham United who are also closing in on the England defender.
