Celebrating the rich tapestry of Indian heritage, the Ambani family has enlisted the expertise of talented female artisans hailing from Kachchh and Lalpur to intricately weave a beautiful dupatta for the imminent union of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. The dupatta, which is an amalgamation of two forms of handicrafts, namely Paithani of Maharashtra and Bandhani of Gujarat, will be presented to the guests.
Through the Swadesh initiative, this endeavour not only empowers local communities, but also serves as a guardian of age-old craftsmanship, ensuring its preservation for generations to come. These skilled artisans invest their passion and dedication into the craft, upholding time-honored techniques and infusing vitality into narratives as ancient as the very soil of the land.

Anant Ambani, the son of Reliance Industries Chairman, Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO, Viren Merchant’s wedding festivities, are slated for March 1 to March 3, 2024, at the Reliance Greens in Jamnagar.
Anant and Radhika’s marriage festivities began with the Gujarati ritual called Lagan Lakhvanu. The wedding invitation, called Kankotri, will be penned with reverence and presented to the gods as a holy gift of invitation, seeking blessings for the upcoming union as the families unite in love. Anant and Radhika, who are firmly rooted in custom, and hold a deep regard for their cultural background, also embarked on their journey together, with the auspicious ceremony of Lagan Lakhvanu, respecting the sacredness of rituals.
Radhika graced the ceremony in a stunning pastel-blue lehenga skillfully crafted by Anamika Khanna. The ensemble featured a delicate pink choli adorned with floral motifs, seamlessly merging into a matching dupatta elegantly draped in the traditional saree style. Complementing her outfit were three carefully chosen style pieces— a diamond bracelet, coordinating earrings, a maang teeka, and a three-tiered neckpiece— each enhancing her innate elegance and grace.
