Digvijay Singh Rathee is making waves on Splitsvilla X5 as one of the most liked and intelligent contestants this season. MTV Roadies fame Digvijay took a second shot at reality TV with Sunny Leone and Tanuj Virwani’s dating show, Splitsvilla X5. In an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Digvijay revealed if he found love on the show. He also spilled the beans on his co-contestants and promised that the show’s grand finale would be packed with some never-seen-before twists.
Digvijay forged a connection with Unnati Tomar on the show. Months after filming Splitsvilla X5, Digvijay and Unnati are a repetitive feature on each other’s social media and are often seen taking vacations together. So, are Digvijay and Unnati in love?
Flashing his signature smile, Digvijay recalled feeling a connection with Unnati when he first met her. He said, “I don’t believe in love at first sight but we clicked and spent a lot of time together in Ex-Isle. Slowly, the connection became strong. But there was definitely some spark from the first day itself."
When asked if the pair is in love now, Digvijay said, “This is a very tough question. I would say that things are going pretty great. We are enjoying each other’s company. We like each other and we’re taking things slow. Things are good."
As for Digvijay’s co-contestants Akriti Negi and Jashwant Bopanna, he said, “Together probably only for social media. I don’t know, it’s their personal life. If they are together, I hope they’re happy. If they’re not together, then also it’s okay."
What about Siwet Tomar and Anicka Shyrinn? “Yes, maybe. Honestly, I don’t know them personally. I can only judge based on what I see on social media. My opinion also doesn’t matter here because it’s their personal life," he said.
Recently, there was speculation that Shobhika is dating Roadies fame Himanshu Arora. Fans of the show also speculate that Himanshu is the same person that Yuvraj Bassi mentioned in the show, who was involved with Shobhika. Confirming these rumours, Digvijay said, “Yes, I guess. They are together. I think so."
While Splitsvilla is known for its many shocking twists, Siwet Tomar’s eviction from the show was one such twist that fans could not comprehend. Soon, social media was filled with rumours that he would make a comeback as a wildcard on the show. However, Digvijay says, “I don’t know, I don’t remember such a thing (laughs)."
Another burning question that fans have is: Are Akriti and Jashwant winning this season? Digvijay said, “I will just smile, that’s all (laughs). Wait for the show, right now people should not speculate because once the episodes come out, all theories will get shaken up."
“I’ll tell you something since you’re trying to get a spoiler. When the last episode of the season comes out, it will be crazy. What is about to happen has never happened on any reality TV show. I know what the speculations are currently but no one has any clue about what is going to happen. Watch the finale, it will be fun," he adds.
