The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2023. Aditya Srivastava has topped the exam followed by Animesh Pradhan who has secured the All Indian Rank 2, and Donuru Ananya Reddy who has secured rank 3.
A total of 1016 have been recommended for appointment. Of these, 347 are from the general category. While 115 are from EWS, 303 are from OBC, 165 are from SC, and 86 are from ST categories. The UPSC had notified a total of 1143 vacancies. Furthermore, the candidature of 355 recommended candidates has been kept provisional, the commission said in its official notice.
Furthermore, a total of 180 candidates have been selected for IAS; 200 candidates have been selected for IPS; and 37 for IFS. Through these examinations, 613 candidates have been selected for various Grade A posts of the Central Government. A total of 113 candidates have been selected for the Grade B posts.

Who Is Aditya Srivastava?
A Lucknow native, Aditya Srivastava started his CSE preparation in October 2017. He was chosen for the IPS in the 2022 UPSC CSE exam. That year, he ranked 216th. At present, Srivastava is undergoing training to become an IPS officer belonging to the Bengal cadre.
UPSC Civil Services Exam 2023 Final Results: Where to Check?
Candidates who had appeared for the exam can check the results on the commission’s official website at upsc.gov.in. The result contains the PDF file of the candidates who have qualified for the UPSC CSE 2023 along with their roll numbers. The final merit list is made after combining the candidate’s preliminary, mains, and personality test scores.

UPSC CSE 2023: Why is The Exam Held?
The UPSC CSE results will decide which candidate will be joining the coveted ranks of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other central government services.
UPSC CSE 2023: When Were Exams Held?
The UPSC CSE 2023 preliminary exam was held on May 28, 2023, followed by the mains exam in September 2023. The candidates who successfully passed the mains exams were called for a personality test which was conducted on January 2 and April 9, 2024. As many as 2846 candidates who passed the main examination were called for interview. In the Civil Services Examination 2023, there were 180 posts for IAS, 200 for IPS and 37 for IFS. The final marks of UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 will be released 15 days after the declaration of the result.
UPSC CSE 2023: What Happened Last Year?
In the UPSC CSE 2022 exams, Ishita Kishore bagged AIR 1. Garima Lohia and Uma Harithi N secured the second and third ranks, respectively. Notably, women secured the top four ranks in the UPSC CSE 2022. A total of 933 candidates successfully cleared the civil services examination. Smriti Mishra had secured the fourth position.
