After completing school, most people think of studying MBA. Those who study MBA dream of getting admission to an IIM college. But to get admission here, candidates have to clear the CAT exam. Also, one has to score well in the CAT exam to get admission to IIM.
If you don’t score well in the CAT exam, then you don’t need to worry. There is an underrated college where you can get a salary package of 23.5 lakhs through placement. The college is the Institute of Management Studies, BHU.
A total of 181 offers have been received from 165 students of BHU. The average salary is 11.1 lakh while the highest offer is 23.5 lakh per annum. Dr. Ashutosh Mohan, Placement Coordinator, Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University, said that students of MBA, MBA International Business and MBA Agribusiness courses were successfully placed. Out of the 181 offers received by 165 students, a whopping average package of Rs 11.1 lakh has set a new benchmark for the coming year.
Over 65 companies including Infosys, Genpact, Cognizant, Mahindra Finance, Adani Wilmar, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicle, Reliance Retail, Federal Bank, IDBI Bank, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, ICICI Bank, Digit General Insurance, Visa Steel, Bajaj Asset Management, Uniqlo, Amul and Escorts Kubota participated in recruitment through internships at BHU.
Around 36 per cent of the students received an offer for executive or management trainee positions through this internship. It includes various sub-profiles including MT-Sales and Marketing, MT-Finance, MT-Business Excellence, MT-Strategy and Projects, MT-Alliance and Electronic Payments and MT-Retail Operations. Around 21 per cent of the students secured the positions of Associate, and Senior Consultant while 13 per cent secured the positions of Assistant and Deputy Manager.
How to get admission here?
The admission of applicants at BHU for MBA and MBA-IB programmes is through CAT. Applicants from categories other than SC/ST must have secured at least 50% marks in the CAT test. At the same time, a minimum of 45% marks is required for SC/ST candidates. In addition, the applicants should have a graduate degree in the pattern 10+2+3 from a recognized institute or university or a degree in the field of Agriculture, Engineering, Medicine, Education or Law or a postgraduate degree in any subject.
