It is not easy to succeed in the UPSC Civil Service Exam with just one year of preparation. Considered to be one of the toughest exams in the country, candidates require many years of hard work to qualify for the UPSC exam. For this, they also take coaching. But IAS Ananya Singh has proved otherwise. A native of Prayagraj, she is a district topper in class 10 as well as 12 board examinations. She cleared CSE at the age of just 22.
Ananya Singh completed her early education at St. Mary’s Convent School, Prayagraj. He had secured 96 per cent marks in the 10th board exam, and 98.25 per cent in the 12th exam. She has been a district topper from the CISCE board in both classes 10th and 12th. After 12th, Ananya completed her graduation in Economics Honors from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi.
She wanted to become an IAS officer since childhood. However, she started preparing for the UPSC exam from the last year of graduation. She used to study for seven to eight hours daily. Then after the base became strong, she fixed a six-hour study schedule. She prepared for the UPSC prelims and mains exam together.
Singh worked hard for a year and appeared in the UPSC exam in 2019. She secured an All India Rank of 51 in the exam. After seeing the results of the UPSC CSE 2019 exam, she could not believe her rank. At the age of just 22, she fulfilled his childhood dream by becoming an IAS officer. To prepare for the exams, she collected books as per the syllabus and made notes which she said helped a lot in preparation and revision. Due to writing notes, the answers got registered in her mind, Singh had said. She is currently posted in the West Bengal cadre.
