South Eastern Coalfields Ltd Issues Notification For 1,425 Apprentice Posts

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) is offering opportunities for graduates and diploma holders to become apprentices in various fields. There are a total of 1,425 Technician/Graduate Apprentice positions available in disciplines such as Mining, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and others. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online at secl-cil.in until February 27, 2024. Selection for these roles will be based on document verification, tentatively scheduled for March 15, 2024.

SECL Apprentice 2024 Vacancies:

A total of 1,425 positions have been announced for the recruitment of apprentices in various disciplines. The vacancies by discipline are detailed in the table below:

Graduate in Mining Engineering: 200 positions

Graduate in Electrical Engineering: 50 positions

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering: 50 positions

Graduate in Civil Engineering: 30 positions

Graduate in Electronics and Telecommunication: 30 positions

Technician Apprentices in Mining Engineering/Mining and Mine Surveying: 900 positions

Technician Apprentices in Mechanical Engineering: 50 positions

Technician Apprentices in Electrical Engineering: 75 positions

Technician Apprentices in Civil Engineering: 50 positions

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a 4-year degree for graduate apprenticeships and a 3-year diploma in the relevant stream/branch of engineering for technician apprenticeships, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the government.

Age Limit

Candidates should be at least 18 years old as of February 13, 2024. For details on age limit relaxation, please refer to the notification link.

In the selection process, the date of passing in engineering/diploma will determine the shortlisting of candidates, with earlier passed candidates given preference. In case of a tie, the following criteria will be used for provisional selection:

1. Date of passing in the same category.

2. Percentage of marks in engineering/diploma.

3. Percentage of marks in 12th/10th respectively.

4. Date of birth.

Interested and eligible candidates need to register on the NATS 2 portal, Western Region of the Board of Apprenticeship Training. To register on the NATS 2 Portal, follow these steps:

1. Visit the official website http://nats.education.gov.in/.

2. Click on the “SECL Recruitment 2024” link on the homepage.

3. Provide the necessary details.

4. Submit the application form.

5. Submit the required documents.

6. Please keep a printout of the same for future reference.
