To ensure the benefits of this scheme reach the intended beneficiaries and to prevent fraudulent activities, the government has tightened the rules.

The Central Government administers various schemes to support the underprivileged, and one such scheme is the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi for farmers. Under this scheme, the government provides farmers with Rs 6,000 per year, disbursed in three instalments. To date, farmers have received 15 instalments of the Kisan Samman Nidhi, with the 16th instalment expected to be disbursed soon. To ensure the benefits of this scheme reach the intended beneficiaries and to prevent fraudulent activities, the government has tightened the rules. Consequently, the number of beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Yojana has decreased compared to before due to the government’s strict measures.

If there’s an error in any information provided during registration for the PM Kisan Yojana, such as incorrect address or bank account details, failure to seed Aadhaar in NPCI, rejection by the Public Financial Management System (PFMS), or omission of email submission, it could result in the suspension of your 16th instalment. To avoid this, ensure you complete the e-KYC process if you haven’t already done so. Additionally, double-check that all the essential details in your PM Kisan account are accurate.

You can verify your status on the PM Kisan official website pmkisan.gov.in. Here, you can check the number of instalments you’ve received and whether your Aadhaar authentication has been completed. Additionally, you can review your KYC, PFMS status, land seeding, and Aadhaar seeding status.

To check your status, follow these steps:

1. Visit the pmkisan.gov.in website.

2. Click on the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option under the ‘Farmer Corner’ section.

3. You’ll be prompted to enter either your Aadhaar number, account number, or phone number.

4. Fill in the captcha and click on ‘Get Data.’

5. Your PM Kisan instalment details will be displayed, showing the instalments you’ve received.

To correct any errors in your Aadhaar number or name, you’ll need to visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in and follow these steps:

1. Go to the ‘Farmer Corner’ section.

2. Click on the ‘Aadhaar edit’ option.

3. Enter your UID number and captcha to access your related information.

4. If you find any incorrect information, you can proceed to correct it through the provided options.

Ensure to review and update your details accurately to avoid any issues with your PM Kisan account.

Correcting bank account details cannot be done online. If there’s an error in your bank details, you’ll need to reach out to the Agriculture Department office or the Accountant to rectify it. They will assist you in updating the information.
