Anjali Garg was born on September 14, 1996. Hailing from a business family with no prior members in civil service, she carved her path and achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming a top government officer. Dr. Anjali Garg, a native of Chandigarh, first realized her dream of becoming a doctor. Driven by ambition, she aspired to reach even greater heights and, through her hard work, made that dream a reality.

Dr Anjali Garg completed her 10th and 12th from a local school in Chandigarh. She scored 10 CGPA in the 10th board exam. After that, she appeared for the 12th exam in the medical stream. She scored 96 per cent marks in it. Then, she passed the NEET exam and completed her MBBS from VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. After becoming a doctor, she started preparing for the UPSC exam and was successful in that too. Coming from a medical background, Anjali Garg faced significant challenges. Many subjects were entirely new to her, and initially, her unclear basics led to low scores in mock tests. She then revised her strategy, working twice as hard to master the concepts. Her dedication paid off, and she scored 134 marks in the 2022 UPSC exam. Choosing medical science as her optional subject, she emerged as the medical science topper in the UPSC CSE 2022.

Anjali Garg faced failure in her first attempt at the UPSC exam. However, she persevered and secured the 79th rank in her second attempt, becoming an IAS officer. Her first attempt took place during the challenging Covid period when her parents contracted the virus, and the UPSC exam was subsequently postponed. Despite these obstacles, Anjali succeeded and is currently serving as Assistant Commissioner (UT) in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
