KCET 2024: KEA Extends Registration Deadline Till February 20, How to Apply
Candidates who are planning to apply for the KCET 2024 examination can now register through the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced an extension on the due date of applying for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024. Following the revised schedule, now the deadline has been settled for February 20, which was previously concluding on February 10.

As per the official notice from KEA, “Candidates who have not registered with KEA, can register and apply online up to 11:59 pm on 20-02-2024 and pay the fees up to 5.30 pm on 23-02-2024 for CET 2024. For the welfare of the student community, dates have been extended for CET 2024 which is scheduled on 18-04-2024 and 19-04-2024.”

The administration commenced the KCET 2024 registration process on January 10. However, the application form was not available on the official website from January 13 to 17, due to the unavailability of the SATS service. The SATS support is required to validate the applicants’ data. Following the inconvenience, the administration of KEA resumed the application process on January 18.

On the other hand, the KCET 2024 examination has also been rescheduled to be held on April 18 and 19. Previously, the examination was slated for April 20 and 21 which were clashing with the NDA examination dates.

Candidates who are planning to apply for the KCET 2024 examination can now register through the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

KCET 2024: How to register?

Step 1: Visit the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the ‘KCET 2024 registration’ link on the homepage.

Step 3: Log in to the account through the required details.

Step 4: Fill up the application form and upload the required documents.

Step 5: Pay the application fees as per the category and click ‘Submit’ after rechecking the details.

Step 6: Download the confirmation page and keep a hard copy for future reference.

KCET 2024: Application Fees

The application fee to register for the KCET 2024 examination has been determined based on different categories of candidates. As per the official notification, the general merit candidates are required to pay Rs 500. While the CAT-1/SC/ST candidates of Karnataka will have to pay an application fee of Rs 200. Moreover, candidates who have studied previously at an institution outside Karnataka will be paying Rs 750 as the application fee. Foreign candidates are required to pay Rs 5,000 while applying for the examination.

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test is an entrance examination for various professional courses, including Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharma), Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharma), Agriculture courses (Farm Science) and Veterinary courses.
