The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has rescheduled the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2024. The Karnataka PGCET was scheduled for July 13 and 14, but it has now been postponed. KEA will announce the revised dates soon. The postponement is due to scheduling conflicts with final semester exams at some universities.

Meanwhile, KEA has reopened the Karnataka PGCET registration window for MCA, MTech, MBA, ME, and MArch courses starting today, June 26. Candidates can apply until July 7, up to 11:59 pm. The registration fee payment window will close on July 9 at 6 pm. The Karnataka PGCET admit cards are usually released 10 days before the exam.

According to the official notice, “Many students have submitted the requests to KEA for postponement of PGCET-2024 exam scheduled to be held on July 13 and July 14 as few Universities are commencing final semester exams between July 5 and 10. To protect the student’s interest, KEA has postponed the PGCET-2024 exam scheduled to be held on July 13 and 14 and the revised dates will be published on the KEA website in due course.”

Karnataka PGCET 2024: How to Apply?

Step 1. Visit the official website of KEA — cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea or kea.kar.nic.in.

Step 2. In the admission section, click on the ‘PGCET-2024 (M.Tech/MBA/MCA/M.Arch)’ link.

Step 3. Click on the online application option located on the right-hand side of the page.

Step 4. Fill out the form, upload the required documents, and pay the fee.

Step 5. After entering everything, submit the form and download a copy of the confirmation page.

Karnataka PGCET 2024: Application Fees

Candidates who belong to the General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories need to pay an application fee of Rs 650. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories candidates are required to pay Rs 500.

The Karnataka PGCET will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode. The Karnataka PGCET will be divided into four sections, and the medium of the exam will be English. For MBA and MCA candidates, the question paper will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark.

The Karnataka PGCET exam is held for admission to several programmes such as Master of Architecture (MArch), Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Technology (MTech), and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in colleges and universities throughout the state.
