The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the last date to fill in the options for the Diploma CET (DCET) Counselling 2024. As per the latest updates, candidates now have until July 15 to submit their options for round one of seat allotment. This ruling is in accordance with a High Court order. It is important to note that the Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) candidates are now qualified for DCTE 2024 counselling.
“As per the interim order in the high court, the candidates who have passed the NTTF will be given the result and considered for seat allotment,” the exam conducting authority said in an official notice.
Additionally, such candidates can have their certifications checked between July 13 and July 14. Candidates must bring all original documents as well as two sets of photocopies to KEA in Malleshwaram, Bangalore. Candidates who pass document verification will be able to enter options and be considered for first round seat allocation.
According to KEA, working professionals who filed for DCET 2024 will be ineligible for admission to second year engineering courses under the professional quota because they did not submit the required one-year service certificate.
Such candidates must attend the document verification and get verification slips to be deemed regular diploma candidates. Such students will be assigned a regular rank and will be able to enter alternatives for first-round seat allocation.
Furthermore, candidates applying for admission to the second year or third semester of engineering or architecture programmes using DCET 2024 must apply to have their documents confirmed. The document verification at KEA, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, will be held on July 13, 2024, at 2 PM (reporting time is 1:45 PM), or on July 14, 2024, at 11 AM. Those who have previously completed the document verification process are not required to attend again.
The inclusion of seats allocated to the government by the Board of Governors in the Government Seat Matrix has also contributed to the extension of the options entry deadline. Meanwhile, the new schedule for upcoming seat allotments will be posted on the KEA website soon. Candidates are advised to take note of these important changes and execute the relevant procedures by the deadlines.
