IIT Madras has released the toppers list along with the JEE Advanced result today, June 9. Dwija Patel of Rajkot, Gujarat, has topped the JEE Advanced 2024 among girls. She has scored 332 out of 360 marks in this exam. Earlier, in the JEE Main 2024 too, Dwija was the topper in the girls category with a score of 99.99 percentile. Her family is happy and proud of Dwija’s remarkable achievement.

Dwija’s father Dharmeshbhai, a teacher by profession, wanted her to study engineering in computer science after passing class 9 and taking coding classes. Following the release of the JEE Advanced results 2024, it seems that his wish will now be fulfilled. Dwija has been studying coding in class 9. At an age when children are confused with math calculations, she used to take coding classes. Her favourite subject is mathematics.
Dwija, who secured 7th rank in JEE Advanced 2024 was preparing for JEE Advanced while staying in Kota, Rajasthan. She wants to study engineering in computer science at IIT Bombay. She attributes her success to her hard work. She studied for 12 hours daily, which shows her unwavering commitment and determination towards her academic goals. She had scored 290 out of 300 marks in JEE Main exam.
This year, of the 41020 female students who the JEE Advanced 2024, as many as 7964 passed. Overall 48248 students cleared the IIT entrance exam. Among the other female toppers, this year include Arittra Malhotra from the IIT Delhi zone with a CRL of 221, Archita Banka from the IIT Guwahati zone, Shreshtha Gupta from the IIT Kanpur zone, Tamanna Kumari from the IIT Bhubaneswar zone, and Srinithya Devraj from the IIT Madras zone.
All the candidates who cleared the JEE Advanced 2024 will have to next participate in the counselling process for admission to the IITs. This counselling process is conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
