Haryana Board Announces Modified Evaluation Procedure For 10th-Grade Exams
The Haryana School Education Board has decided to modify the evaluation procedure for the tenth grade for the first time.

From February 27 to April 2, the Haryana School Education Board will conduct the 10th and 12th-grade examinations. A total of 5,80,533 candidates will appear for the exams across 1482 examination centres in the state. During a press conference, Board Chairman Dr. VP Yadav announced that candidates can obtain their admission cards from the board’s website, bseh.org.in, starting February 20. However, the hall ticket download facility will be exclusively available to schools. School heads must log in using their unique school login ID to download the admit cards.

Dr. Yadav further revealed that the Haryana School Education Board has introduced a modified evaluation procedure for the tenth grade for the first time. Under the new module, 10th-grade candidates will pass if they achieve a cumulative score of 33 per cent for both theory and practical exams, similar to the CBSE system. Previously, candidates had to secure 33 per cent marks separately in practical exams. Dr. Yadav emphasised that this change aims to increase the pass rate and reduce exam-related stress among applicants.

The 10th-grade examination will take place from February 27 to March 26, with 3,03,869 candidates scheduled to appear. Meanwhile, the 12th-grade examination will be held from February 27 to April 2, with 2,21,484 candidates expected to participate. Both exams will be conducted in a single shift from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

To maintain exam integrity, the Haryana School Education Board has deployed two permanent observers at each examination centre to prevent cheating. Additionally, police personnel will be stationed at every centre to deter external interference. Furthermore, question papers will feature an alphanumeric code to identify candidates involved in leaking question papers, enabling the board to take appropriate disciplinary actions.

This comprehensive approach to examination management underscores the board’s commitment to ensuring fair and transparent assessments. With enhanced security measures and a revised evaluation procedure, the Haryana School Education Board aims to uphold the integrity of the examination process and provide a conducive environment for students to demonstrate their academic abilities.
