Let us take a closer look at the application fees, eligibility to apply for the CMAT, a national-level entrance exam for admission to management programmes

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to commence the registration process of the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2024. Based on the past line-ups the testing agency is likely to release the official notification shortly, with the exam schedule and other details on its official website at cmat.nta.ac.in.

Given the previous process of conducting the CMAT, let us take a closer look at the application fees, eligibility, exam pattern, and procedure to apply for the exam.

CMAT 2024: Eligibility Criteria

According to NTA, there is no age limit for the candidates to apply for the CMAT 2024, however, the registering candidates are required to have completed at least three years of graduation in any discipline from a recognised university or college.

CMAT 2024: How to register?

Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA CMAT at cmat.nta.ac.in.

Step 1: Click on the ‘CMAT 2024 Registration’ link on the homepage.

Step 1: Register with the required details and choose a password to generate a login ID.

Step 1: Log in with the CMAT 2024 application number and password to fill out the form.

Step 1: Fill out the form and upload the required documents.

Step 1: Pay the CMAT application fee through online mode.

Step 1: Review and ‘Submit’ the application.

Step 1: Download the confirmation page and keep a hard copy for future reference.

CMAT 2024: Exam pattern

The CMAT is a national-level entrance exam for admission to management programmes in India. It is conducted under NTA. It is a three-hour computer-based online test that is conducted to evaluate the applying candidates’ eligibility to enrol in management courses.

The examination includes tests on subjects like quantitative techniques, logical reasoning, language comprehension, general awareness innovation, and entrepreneurship skills.

In the given three hours of duration, the candidate has to attempt 100 questions in MCQ format with five sections of 20 questions each. On every correct answer, 4 marks will be rewarded while on every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.

CMAT 2024: Application fees

As per the previous year’s notice, the application fee for the candidates belonging to the general category was Rs 2,000. For the female and other candidates from reserved categories, the application fees were Rs 1,000.
