Here are the qualifications required for various positions in the Border Security Force (BSF):
Assistant Aircraft Mechanic (ASI): Candidates must possess a three-year diploma in the relevant trade.
Assistant Radio Mechanic (ASI): Applicants should have a three-year diploma in Telecommunication or Electronic Engineering recognised by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
Constable (Storeman): Candidates must have passed Matriculation with Science or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
SI (Works): Candidates should hold a three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute recognised by the Central Government or State Government.
SI/JE (Election): Applicants must have a three-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a Government-recognised institute.
HC (Plumber): Candidates should have passed Matriculation or its equivalent and possess three years of experience in the relevant trade. Additionally, they should hold an ITI certificate in the trade of Plumber from a reputed firm.
HC (Carpenter): Candidates must have passed Matriculation or its equivalent and hold an ITI certificate with three years of experience in the trade of Carpenter from a reputed firm.
Constable (Generator Operator): Applicants should have passed Matriculation or its equivalent and possess three years of experience in the relevant trade from a reputed firm. Additionally, they should hold an ITI certificate in the trade of Electrician or Wireman.
Constable (Generator Mechanic): Candidates should have passed Matriculation or its equivalent and hold an ITI certificate in Diesel/Motor Mechanic. Additionally, they should have three years of experience in the relevant trade from a reputed firm.
