The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Mumbai has announced an opportunity for retired Driver Cadre Personnel from the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and its Constituent Units to apply for driving duties. BARC Mumbai aims to fill 50 Driver Cadre positions through this recruitment initiative. The official notification is available on the BARC website, barc.gov.in. According to the BARC recruitment notification for 2024, the application process commenced on April 30. Interested candidates can submit their completed applications to the Chief Administrative Officer (Personnel) at the Central Complex, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, Mumbai-400085. The deadline for submitting applications is May 24.
Candidates are advised to carefully read the recruitment notification before applying to ascertain their eligibility for the post. Whoever is applying for these posts of Driver Cadre must have a valid driving licence for both Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) issued by a competent authority. Candidates who want to apply for these posts should not exceed 65 years of age. Only then will they be considered eligible to apply. Those who are retiring on superannuation are also eligible to apply for the above-stated position.
According to the official BARC Recruitment 2024 announcement, successful applicants will be appointed for an initial period of one year. Selection for the positions will be based on a thorough review of the applications submitted by candidates. Those who meet the qualifications and express genuine interest in the opportunity will be considered for selection. There will be no examination conducted for the selection process. The selected candidates will be paid a fixed monthly remuneration of 50 percent of their last drawn pay.
