The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the Assam Olympiad 2021 scheduled to be held on March 21 because of the Assam Legislative Assembly Elections, which are scheduled for the last week of March. It would now be conducted on April 11, as per the latest notice by NTA.
The exam for students in Classes 6 to 9 will be held between 8:30 am and 11:30 am, while the olympiad for classes 10 to 12 will be conducted from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm on April 11.
The Assam Olympiad 2021 will be held in offline mode using the traditional pen and paper option. Candidates will have to answer the questions asked in the multiple-choice format within a period of three hours. The paper pattern and duration of the olympiad are the same for class 6 to class 12. The syllabus of the exam will be similar to that of the class in which the student is enrolled in Assam Higher Secondary Council and Elementary Education.
“The Assam Olympiad is aimed at bringing the most talented secondary and higher secondary students of Govt. schools of Assam together in a friendly competition of the highest level,” claims NTA. Olympiad problems provide intellectual stimulus and uncommon opportunities for teaching and learning of sciences.
All those who appeared in the exam will be provided a scorecard giving the details of the exam in which they appeared and the marks secured by them in the said exam. Those who appeared in the exam will also be given a participation certificate.
