While the entire country is gearing up for the historic Ram temple consecration in Ayodhya, Indian wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat paid his tribute to Lord Ram with a match-reviving century.
It came on the final day of an unofficial Test between India A and England Lions on January 20. After reaching his hundred with a boundary, Bharat went on to imitate the iconic bow and arrow gesture with his bat.
He shared a clip of the celebration on Instagram, with a caption reading, “One to remember. Jai Shree Ram.”
Bharat registered an unbeaten 116 off 165 balls when India A were chasing a daunting target of 490 runs in the fourth innings of the unofficial Test, hosted at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
India A found themselves in a tricky situation when they were bundled out for just 227 runs in their first innings.

England Lions batted first in the match and produced a mammoth total of 553 runs, riding on centuries by opener Keaton Jennings and captain Josh Bohannon.
In reply, only Rajat Patidar scored a score of significance for India A.
The young top-order batter scored a composed 151, helping his side cross the 200-run mark. Among others, only Tushar Deshpande could record a 20-plus score.
As India A were already trailing by 326 runs, England Lions chose to declare their second innings at 163/6.
Jennings continued his sublime form and struck 64 runs this time, while James Rew slammed an unbeaten half-century.
In the chase, India A lost the wicket of opener-captain Abhimanyu Easwaran early in the very first over. Patidar also departed early, managing just 4 runs.
That’s when Sai Sudarshan and Sarfaraz Khan took over the charge.
The duo stitched an 87-run partnership before Khan was dismissed for 55 runs. The upcoming batters Pradosh Paul and Manav Suthar also demonstrated their quality, scoring 43 and 89 runs respectively.
Sai Sudarshan was all class and missed out on a century by only three runs.
Powered by Bharat’s contribution, India A ended the final day at 426 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.
Meanwhile, Bharat has managed only 129 runs while representing India in 5 Tests. Despite his poor run in red-ball cricket, the Andhra Pradesh batter has been included for the first two Test of the England series.
