WATCH: In a Rare Moment, MS Dhoni Says ‘No’ to Fans Asking for Selfie, Autograph Outside His Ranchi Farmhouse
The fans were lucky enough as MS Dhoni had just returned to his farmnhouse on a Yamaha R1-Z but said no to selfies and autographs.

Far from the limelight and the cricket field, former India captain MS Dhoni is spending time with his family in Ranchi. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter was last seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, in which his team – Chennai Super Kings – got knocked out after losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the group stage. Since then, he returned to his usual life but his fans are still speculating about his future with CSK as Dhoni hasn’t spoken anything about his retirement.

Meanwhile, the legend was spotted in his hometown Ranchi, riding one of the bikes from his vast collection. A few young fans had assembled outside the gate of his farmhouse, expecting to have a glimpse of the legend. They were lucky enough as Dhoni had just returned riding his Yamaha R1-Z but said no to selfies.

The veteran wicketkeeper-batter Dhoni amassed 161 runs in 14 innings for the Chennai Super Kings in the recently concluded season, including wowing the crowd with 14 fours and 13 sixes.

Though Dhoni hasn’t made the announcement yet, it’s speculated that the India icon will hang up his boots after the conclusion of IPL 2024. With CSK eliminated after playing their final match of the season, it’s uncertain whether the wicketkeeper-batter will be seen in action again next year.

According to reports, Dhoni has been carrying a muscle injury on his leg which restricted his movement in this IPL. He has mainly served the role of a finisher, contributing with quickfire cameos down the order.

The former CSK captain, however, failed in his last assignment. In the final league game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Dhoni arrived at the crease when his team needed 72 runs to reach the playoffs. He paired up with Ravindra Jadeja and played some impressive shots, including a 110-metre six, which landed outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
