Pat Cummins has already occupied a special place in the hearts of Sunrisers Hyderabad fans. Under his captaincy, the team have performed exceptionally in this IPL. SRH have endured only three defeats in their 8 appearances in the tournament. They currently hold the third spot on the IPL points table.
The SRH batting department, featuring the likes of Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen, Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markram, has looked invincible on several occasions. Thanks to the scintillating form of the top order, the Hyderabad-based franchise has breached the 200-run mark in four matches so far in this IPL season.
SRH’s best performance came in a game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen stole the show with their big-hitting prowess, helping their team reach 287 runs– which is the highest-ever team total in the history of the IPL. The SRH batting unit, however, looked out of form in the last game against RCB in Hyderabad.
Chasing a target of 207 runs, the hosts lost a few early wickets. Pat Cummins and Shahbaz Ahmed made some efforts in the end but could not guide the team to victory. SRH ultimately lost the match by 35 runs. SRH will now look to bounce back when they take on Chennai Super Kings in a crucial away fixture on Sunday, April 28.
