IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders’ charter flight to Kolkata was diverted after failing to land in the city due to inclement weather. The plan was first diverted to Guwahati before making another attempt to land in Kolkata which also proved futile.
It was again diverted before finally landing in Varanasi.

The news was confirmed by the official Instagram handle of Kolkata Knight Riders. But the mood is fairly positive in the Kolkata-based unit.
