The International Cricket Council has released additional tickets just a week before the T20 World Cup 2024 opening clash between hosts USA and Canada at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas.
The additional tickets have been made available for the matches where general admission allocations were previously exhausted, as per a statement from ICC.
The T20 World Cup will see participation from 20 international teams across nine venues in the USA and West Indies. The tournament gets underway from June 1 with the final slated for June 29.
The additional release of tickets includes matches where General Admission allocations were previously exhausted:
- USA v Canada, 1 June at Grand Prairie Stadium, Texas
- India v Ireland, 5 June at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium , New York
- USA v Pakistan, 6 June at Grand Prairie Stadium, Texas
- Sri Lanka v Bangladesh, 7 June at Grand Prairie Stadium, Texas
- India v USA, 12 June at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium (NCICS), New York
- India v Canada, 16 June at Broward County Stadium, Florida
There have also been additional general admission category tickets released to the first ever World Cup fixture in New York between 2014 champions Sri Lanka and South Africa on 3 June.
“Fans wanting the ultimate World Cup experience in either the West Indies or USA can secure tickets to the Premium Club and the exclusive Diamond Club, where fans can rub shoulders with the legends of the game in the best seats in the house,” read the statement.
For matches hosted at West Indies venues, tickets are also available to purchase at box offices in each of the six host countries.
India will open their campaign against Ireland on June 5 before taking on Pakistan four days later. The Rohit Sharma-led side has been placed in Group A alongside USA, Pakistan, Ireland and Canada.
A majority of the India squad left for New York on Saturday night while the likes of Virat Kohli, Sanju Samson and Hardik Pandya will link up with the members later on.
