GT Captain Gill 'Honoured' to Meet Robin Minz's Father Who Works as a Security Official at Ranchi Airport
Robin Minz's father was on duty when the Indian cricket team were leaving Ranchi after defeating England by 5 wickets.

Shubman Gill, who will be leading the Gujarat Titans in the forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), played a match-winning knock in Ranchi to help India win the 4th Test against England and take an unassailable 3-1 lead. As Team India was leaving the capital city of Jharkhand, Gill caught up with Francis Minz, father of wicketkeeper-batter Robin Minz at the Ranchi Airport.

Robin, who is fondly known as ‘Ranchi ka Gayle’, was picked up by the Gujarat Titans in the mini players’ auction for a whopping amount of Rs 3.6 crore. Since then, not only Robin but his father, Francis Xavier Minz, has become the talk of the town.

Francis is an ex-army man who is now posted at the Ranchi International Airport as a security official. He was on duty when the Indian cricket team were leaving the city after defeating England by 5 wickets. Gill, the newly-appointed GT skipper, took out to time to meet and greet Francis and even click a picture which he put out as an Instagram story on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the video of the meet-up was shared on the official X handle of the Gujarat Titans. The caption of the video reads, “Humility exemplified as Captain Gill meets Francis Minz, our new Titan, Robin Minz’s father!”

Francis congratulated Gill over the series win, saying, “Congratulations on winning the series. Wishing the best to Gujarat Titans. My thanks to the team.”
