TCS Begins Freshers' Hiring; Job Applications Open Till April 10, How To Apply?
TCS is inviting job applications from BTech, BE, MCA, MSc and MS batch of 2024; tests will be conducted on April 26.

IT Hiring In 2024: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services company, has started hiring freshers as it is calling fresh job applications till April 10. It is a major relief to engineering graduates who have been affected by the hiring freeze in various IT firms due to a sluggish demand environment.

TCS will conduct tests on April 26. The company is inviting job applications from BTech, BE, MCA, MSc and MS batch of 2024 till April 10, according to the career page of TCS’ website.

In the recruitment drive, TCS is hiring for three categories — Ninja, Digital, and Prime.

The Ninja category offers a package of Rs 3.36 lakhs per annum for various roles. While the Digital and Prime categories offer Rs 7 lakh and Rs 9-11.5 lakh per annum, respectively, according to a Moneycontrol report.

TCS has not disclosed the number of vacancies.

The hirings are in line with the management’s commentary during December 2023 earnings call when TCS Chief HR Officer Milind Lakkad said, “We have commenced our campus hiring process for the next year and see tremendous excitement among freshers to join TCS.”

Lakkad said it would be difficult to specify the number of hires, although, it would be “a big number.” For FY2023-24, TCS had a target of hiring 40,000 freshers.

Meanwhile, Tata Consultancy Services on Friday said it has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Generative AI (GenAI) Competency as a launch partner. With over 350,000 employees trained on foundational skills in GenAI, TCS is well-poised to build one of the largest AI-ready workforces in the world.

This first-of-its-kind specialization from AWS strengthens TCS’ position as a leading transformation partner for customers in the AI domain.
