New Delhi: After announcing hikes on all its models, car manufacturer Maruti Udyog Ltd on Monday revised the prices of Swift Diesel from Rs 4,000 - Rs 7,000.
The prices of Swift Diesel cars both variants have been increased - Swift Ldi from Rs 4,68,657 to 4,72,657 and Swift Vdi from Rs 4,97,207 to 5,04,207 (both ex-showroom-Delhi).
The revised prices effective from Monday are applicable across the country. The Swift Diesel was launched in January 2007, with an introductory price of Rs 4.68 lakh.
During the launch the company had said the price was introductory and would be reviewed but the company had already hiked the prices between Rs 656 - Rs 818 on March 15.
However in another development, the finance ministry on Monday said that the government will sell its remaining 10.27 per cent stake in Maruti in the next financial year beginning April 1.
The Cabinet has approved the plan for a stake sale in the firm that is restricted to banks, financial institutions and Indian mutual funds. Maruti is 54.2 per cent owned by Japan's Suzuki Motor Corp.
