New Delhi: Car manufacturer Maruti Udyog Ltd on Thursday increased the price of all its models by up to Rs 1,017.
Depending on the model, Swift will become costlier by Rs 656 to Rs 818. The base model of Swift will now cost Rs 4,68,657 compared to Rs 4,68,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) earlier.
Maruti 800 Standard, the company’s most successful model, will now cost Rs 268 more at Rs 1,93,914 as against Rs 1,93,646.
Zen Estilo Vxi would now cost Rs 3,74,019, up Rs 519. Esteem Lxi and Esteem Vxi will now cost Rs 912 and Rs 982 more respectively. Esteem's base model will now cost Rs 4,79,135 compared to Rs 4,78,223 earlier.
Gypsy King Ambulance will cost Rs 1,017 more at Rs 5,25,549. The price of Omni Cargo LPG has been increased by Rs 258 and that of Omni 5-seater by Rs 307. Versa Dx will now cost Rs 826 more.
"While the cess changes announced in the Union Budget 2007-08 came into effect from March 1, 2007, the company had decided to maintain its ex-showroom prices at pre-budget levels for a fortnight," the company said.
