Passengers have a last chance today, September 3, 2024, to book tickets for Vistara. However, the tickets will be available for travel till November 11. Beyond that, Air India tickets will be booked.

Last Chance to Travel via Vistara: Today marks the final opportunity for travellers to book flights with Vistara, India’s full-service airline, for journeys till November 11, 2024. It is the day when Vistara will fly into the sunset and will be closed down forever as it merges with Air India. After today, the Vistara ticket portal will be redirected to Air India tickets portal.

Passengers have a last chance today, September 3, 2024, to book tickets for Vistara for travel till November 11. Beyond that, the airline will be merged with Air India.

Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, is getting merged with Air India. After the merger, the Singapore carrier will have a 25.1 per cent stake in Tata Group-owned Air India.

The government has approved the foreign direct investment by Singapore Airlines as part of the merger.

Following the announcement, Vistara in a statement last week said, “Starting September 3, 2024, flights will progressively not be available for bookings for travel beyond November 11, 2024, 23:59 pm. All flights thereafter will be operated by Air India and can be booked via the Air India website or mobile app.”

This transition comes as part of Tata Group’s strategic move to merge its airline entities under the Air India brand, aiming to streamline operations and enhance customer experience. Vistara passengers with existing bookings beyond November 11, 2024, will be automatically rebooked on Air India flights, ensuring a seamless travel experience.

For those looking to book flights with Vistara, today is the last chance to do so. Travellers can secure their tickets through Vistara’s official website, mobile app, or authorised travel agents until 23:59 pm tonight.

Post-merger, Air India is expected to retain Vistara’s premium service standards while expanding its global network and enhancing its fleet. Customers are encouraged to visit the Air India website or app for future bookings and updates.

As the final phase of the consolidation unfolds, this marks the end of Vistara’s independent operations.

In a message to the staff on Friday, Air India chief Campbell Wilson said they are now embarking on the final stretch of the long and complicated merger process. The merger was announced in November 2022.
