Vedang Raina recently opened up about his debut with star kids Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda and said that he felt at home with them. On the second day of CNN News18’s Rising Bharat Summit, a panel of rising Bollywood stars Alizeh Agnihotri, Vedang Raina, Rajveer Deol and Palak Tiwari took the stage to discuss their aspirations and journeys in films so far.
Vedang spoke about making his impactful debut with popular star kids like Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, late Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. He said, “Mujhe aisa kabhi feel nahi hua and kabhi aisa feel karaya bhi nahi gaya.”
He added, “Mere liye already bohot badi baat thi ki main koi bhi set pe pohoch chuka hoon. You know, ki main koi bhi film ka part ho chuka hoon. Mera aisa kuch dimaag main tha hi nahi ki main kinke saath kaam kar raha hoon… Actually hum sab debutants the uss film main, because we were on this journey together, hum sab apni pehli film kar rahe the toh aisa feel hi nahi hua ki, you know, kuch aisa dynamic tha hi nahi.”
“Aisa laga ki bas hum 7 dost hain aur ek saath mehnat karke film bana rahe hain. Mujhe kabhi aisa feel nahi karaya gaya ki I’m working with people who are carrying such immense legacy. I felt at home,” he said.
Earlier this month, Vedang Raina won the award for Best Debut (Male) for his performance in The Archies at News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2024. He played the role of Reggie in Zoya Akhtar’s adaptation of the popular comic. Vedang made his debut alongside Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda and Yuvraj Menda. His performance was appreciated by the audience and the critics alike.
He will next be seen in Jigra with Alia Bhatt. Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and is co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. The film is said to be about the bond between a brother and a sister. Vedang is said to be playing Alia’s younger brother in the film.
