Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar-starrer Ghost released in theatres on October 19, this year. It received accolades for its gripping plot, intriguing storyline, and a lot of other interesting elements. Now, the film is all set to rule the OTT platforms as well. Ghost will be streaming on Zee 5 from November 17. Zee Kannada has unveiled a special promo, where Shiva Rajkumar himself made this announcement. The promo shows a rat, designed with the help of visual effects, bringing a piece of paper to Shiva Rajkumar. He takes that paper and burns a lighter to reveal its contents. The message then reveals the OTT date of Ghost. Shiva Rajkumar burns the paper after reading the message.
HG Dattatreya, Jayaram, Anupam Kher, Archana Jois, Prashanth Narayan, and Satyaprakash also acted in this film. Ghost was released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. Sandesh Productions has produced this movie.
Ghost faced stiff competition from the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Leo. He, however, doesn’t feel concerned due to this issue. He told PTI, “It is not about clashing or coming against them (Leo), or who is best and who is better. Everyone wants to take advantage of the holiday (period) and (hence) the films are coming (on that day). We wish everybody well, let every film do well. Let people take advantage of the holiday season, come for all the films, so they can have a good festive time by watching all films."
Shiva Rajkumar is now looking forward to acting in other much-anticipated films like Captain Miller. It is a period-action drama set in the 1980s. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, Captain Miller is in its post-production stage. It is expected to hit the cinema halls in January 2024. Dhanush, Nassar, Vinoth Kishan, Mark Bennington, John Kokken, and others have also acted in this movie. Sathya Jyothi Films and Wunderbar Films have produced Captain Miller.
In an interview with a YouTube channel, Shiva Rajkumar revealed the reason behind working on this film. According to him, he has always admired Dhanush as an actor. He also said that Dhanush reminds him of the late star Bruce Lee.
