Ola Electric, India’s largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has officially launched its first-ever EV motorcycle series.
Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal revealed three brand-new models: the Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster Pro, with prices starting as low as Rs 74,999 and going up to Rs 2.49 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). The company has also opened bookings for all three bikes.
Roadster X
The Roadster X is Ola Electric’s entry-level offering, designed to take on popular commuter motorcycles. This bike has a sleek, futuristic design with sharp lines and a closed-off panel where a traditional engine would sit, housing the battery instead. It comes with a single-piece seat and a charging port cleverly positioned where the fuel cap would be.
Under the hood, the Roadster X boasts an 11 kW electric motor and offers three battery options: 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh. The top variant can hit 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 124 kmph with a range of 200 km. The bike also features a Combi Braking System (CBS) with disc brakes and a 4.3-inch LCD display powered by MoveOS 5.
Starting at just Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom), the Roadster X is set to be delivered starting January next year, according to Cartoq.
Roadster
The Roadster takes things up a notch with a sportier design and a 13 kW electric motor. Available in 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh, and 6 kWh variants, the top model offers an impressive range of 248 km. With four riding modes and a 6.8-inch TFT touchscreen, the Roadster brings premium features like cruise control and AI-powered Krutrim Assistant.
Prices start at Rs 1.05 lakh (ex-showroom), with deliveries expected in the last quarter of FY2025.
Roadster Pro
For those seeking ultimate performance, the Roadster Pro is the star of the series. This beast is powered by a 52 kW motor, with a high-end 16 kWh variant offering a staggering 0 to 40 kmph in just 1.2 seconds and a top speed of 194 kmph. The Roadster Pro is packed with cutting-edge tech, including a 10-inch TFT touchscreen and advanced digital features like ADAS and traction control.
Priced at Rs 1.99 lakh and Rs 2.49 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) for the 8 kWh and 16 kWh variants, deliveries for the Roadster Pro will begin around Diwali next year.
