Hyundai Xcent to be launched in India on March 12
The Hyundai Xcent is likely to be priced around a lakh more than the corresponding Grand i10 trim. The Grand i10 range starts from Rs 4.25 lakh, ex-Delhi.

Hyundai India had showcased the Grand i10-based sedan, the Xcent at the Auto Expo 2014. Now the Korean car maker is ready to roll out the Xcent on the Indian roads on March 12. Bookings will start from March 12 while deliveries will follow in a few days.

The Xcent is modelled on the same lines as the Dzire and Amaze - sub 4m class sedans. It has the same face as the Grand i10 and there is chrome finish on the air dam. The side profile shows a kink at the lower part. The boot in the meanwhile is a stubby unit and has differently styled tail lamps than the Grand.

Inside the cabin, the materials used are exactly the same as in the Grand i10 except that there is a climate control system in place of the manual AC. Hyundai has also added a rear air blower, something which is unique to sedans of this class. The boot space is also claimed to be more than the others in this segment.

Expect the Hyundai Xcent to be priced around a lakh more than the corresponding Grand i10 trim. The Grand i10 range starts from Rs 4.25 lakh, ex-Delhi.
