Geneva Motor Show: Tata Motors Unveils Nexon 'Geneva Edition'
The sub-4 metre SUV from Tata Motors is expected to be launched in India after the Tigor.

Tata Motors made all heads turn at the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show with the introduction of the Racemo sports coupe concept under its sub-brand Tamo and the Tigor’s launch date announcement for India. But the company went one step ahead and showcased the Necon ‘Geneva Edition’ as well.

The sub-4 metre compact SUV was first showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo last year wherein the company said that the car should hit the roads by the second half 2017.

The ‘Geneva Edition’ showcased in Geneva features projector headlamps with DRLs and dual-tone colour scheme. The tail lamps are LEDs as well and the 17-inch alloy wheels along with the roof rails accentuate the Nexon’s SUV stance.

When it comes to safety, the Nexon is expected to come with dual airbags, ABD, EBD and ISOFIX mounts at the back.

The Nexon displayed at the Geneva Auto Show is equipped with a 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel engine that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

What remains to be seen is how many of these features make it to the final production variant offering. Once launched, the Nexon will be taking on the likes of the Ford EcoSport and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Also Read: Tata Tiago Review: Tata's Best-Ever Small Car
