Honda two wheelers are set to launch a new vehicle in the Indian market which promises to tread a different line. Cars 18 has learned from a source that Honda will be calling it a 'Utility vehicle' and won't be branding it as a scooter or a motorcycle, something that's similar to what the Japanese automaker did with their popular Navi which was first showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.
We have also learned that the new product will fall into the commuter segment and will be aggressively priced in order to stand out of the already crowded market. Their next vehicle is designed to offer practicality and versatility unlike any other offering in the price bracket.
Honda has been riding high on the popularity of the Honda Navi and also overtook Bajaj as the second highest selling two wheeler automaker in India and came close to the market leader Hero MotoCorp for the month of April 2017.
Following the success of the Honda Navi, the company seems to be working on the same formula with their new product which will bring something different to the table.
What is a two-wheeled 'Utility Vehicle' exactly? Is it a scooter or a motorcycle? We will find out on its launch on June 20, 2017.
