Bengaluru: 9 Flights Diverted To Chennai Due To Heavy Rainfall
A total of nine flights had to be diverted to Chennai from Bengaluru airport due to the adverse weather conditions in the tech hub.

Bengaluru faced another day of heavy rains on Sunday, causing disruptions at Kempegowda International Airport.

Nine flights had to be diverted to Chennai due to the bad weather, as reported by Money Control.

Among the flights diverted were Akasa Air from Mumbai (QP1341), Vistara from Delhi (UK 807), Air Asia from Guwahati (I5821), Air India from Mumbai (AI 585), and Alliance Air from Goa (9I548).

International flights also faced diversions including Thai Lion Air from Bangkok (SL 216), Air France from Paris (AF 194), Thai Airways from Bangkok (TG 325), and KLM from Amsterdam (KL 879).

However, operations resumed post midnight at Kempegowda International Airport.

Last week, Terminal 2 of Bengaluru airport made headlines due to water leakages and heavy rains in Devanahalli. Light to moderate rains are expected in parts of Bengaluru over the next few days, with a yellow alert issued until today. Commuters continue to face challenges with waterlogging and uprooted trees across the city.

As people head to work on Monday, traffic police advise bikers to be cautious on wet roads. Air passengers are urged to stay vigilant for announcements regarding delays, diversions, and cancellations.
