India premier paceman Jasprit Bumrah produced his magic to get rid of in-form Mohammad Rizwan in the blockbuster ODI World Cup clash at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Rizwan, who has been in fine form, missed out on his half-century and was deceived by Bumrah’s brilliance.
On a surface where there was not much assistance from the surface, Bumrah used an off-cutter to bamboozle Rizwan in front of a jam-packed Narendra Modi Stadium.

It was the last ball of the 34th over and Bumrah completely deceived Rizwan with an off-cutter and breached the gap between bat and pad to hit the timber.
Rizwan missed his half-century by a run and took a long walk back towards the pavilion.

Meanwhile, the Indian bowlers produced a collective effort with the ball to restrict Pakistan to 191.
It was a superb bowling display on a batting-friendly surface as Pakistan failed to soak in the pressure in front of more than 1 lakh Indian cricket team fans.

Five Indian bowlers – Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja shared two wickets each.
Babar Azam was the standout performer with the bat for Pakistan with his first ODI fifty against India. He shared an 82-run stand with Rizwan to stabilise Pakistan’s innings but Siraj dismissed the Pakistan captain to trigger a collapse in the middle-order.
From 155 for two, Pakistan collapsed to 191 all out. This is Pakistan’s second lowest score against India in ODI World Cup after 180 all-out back in 1999.
While Pakistan openers Abdullah Shafique (20) and Imam ul Haq (36) had started off well with 41 on the board, Siraj kept one on three quarter length and got that to dart in, catching the former plumb in-front.
Babar and Rizwan had a partnership going but if one looks at how the ODI landscape has changed, they were well behind par during the stand.
Brief scores: 191 all out in 42.5 overs (Babar Azam 50, Mohammad Rizwan 49; Jasprit Bumrah 2/19, Mohammed Siraj 2/50, Kuldeep Yadav 2/35, Ravindra Jadeja 2/38) vs India.
